Picture Extravaganza!
Went for a little day hike today, turned out to be quite grueling, about 2000 vertical feet in around 4 miles... about an hour and a half from my house, out of the Plumas-Eureka State Park near Graegle, California. Park at the old Jamison Mine
and take off up the hill. First you come to Grass Lake,
then skirt the edge and continue up the hill to Jamison Lake,
and its spillway,
then a little detour over to the aptly named Rock Lake,
then up the hill.
looking down at the previously pictured grass lake
looking down at Wades Lake
finally up to the pacific crest trail, you can see it weacing up the hill in the distance, quite the hiking highway!
And a bonus picture of king salmon fishing in southern Alaska!
Signing off....

Update From The Desert
Me and the temporary roommate went for a long hike this morning, this pic is about an hour's walk from my front door.

She got to chase some quail, chukkar, jackrabbits, cottontails, and all sorts of fauna. She seemed to have the most fun in the tall sagebrush, it is like running around in a maze for her...

I found this on the hike. If you can't tell, it is a red wagon that appears to have been slightly modified into a sled to drag behind either a four wheeler or a truck. It had racing stickers all over it, and had been drug so fast the back part of the bottom was all melty. I don't know why they would leave it out there, i would be sure to take it home as a trophy. Maybe the sheriff was after them...
